Sr. Human Resources Specialist - 537520 Position Description The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Sr. Human Resources Specialist to join our team of professionals. Responsibilities Manage the Search and Screen process by leading committee meetings, screening all applicants, and providing guidance throughout the recruitment process. Manage HWCOM recruitment and onboarding of new faculty; conduct compensation analysis and negotiate offers. Lead recruitment and hiring for all regular, temporary, visiting, and postdoctoral positions. Assist in preparing compensation analysis and negotiate salary offers with final candidates. Ensure completion of all pre-requisites before extending offer letters. Conduct faculty reference checks, background checks, licensure verification, NPBD searches, and credentialing for all new hires. Responsible for candidate campus visits and travel logistics, including scheduling panel interviews, agendas, room reservations, hotel and travel bookings, transportation, food arrangements, and feedback collection. Process expense reimbursements for candidates upon completion of travel. Enter faculty administrative appointments, tracks, and appointment information accurately in PantherSoft. Process new adjunct faculty hires and enter contracts for existing adjuncts; ensure funding forms are completed accurately using appropriate criteria for payment requests. Process faculty actions in PantherSoft system, including pay actions, changes in supervisor, department, etc., ensuring accurate reflection. Assist leadership team with departmental initiatives regarding faculty affairs and special projects. Serve as liaison for medical residents and Office of Graduate Medical Education for HR inquiries and processes. Perform other related duties as required or directed. Adhere to all University policies and state and local laws, including the Sunshine Law. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of professional human resource experience.
