Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through comprehensive interviews and gather necessary documentation to maintain detailed case histories from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform personalized care strategies.

• Create and implement tailored intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and diverse group dynamics.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and empowerment.

• Regularly monitor client progress against treatment goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to develop cohesive intervention plans for clients.

• Manage referrals effectively, ensuring seamless transitions to other health services as needed.

• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering constructive strategies to help clients overcome these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and addressing mental health challenges, enhancing their ability to assist in the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base ranging from children to adults, addressing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. You will have the opportunity to help clients navigate their unique circumstances, employing empathy and understanding to guide them towards positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Proof of competency through passing scores on the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records and facilitate care.
\n
• Knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders, is advantageous.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• A comprehensive understanding of the potential effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals on mental health.
\n
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities and a compassionate disposition.

Faith and Hope Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, plus a sign-on bonus.
