Assess patients from child to elder using standardized assessments and observational methods.

Create tailored therapy plans that address immediate objectives as well as overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Conduct individual therapy sessions focusing on aspects like language, articulation, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.

Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care strategies.

Provide educational resources for patients and family members to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.

Conduct infrequent inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, assuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic process.

Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with state, federal, and facility standards.

Engage in professional development activities to stay abreast of innovations in speech-language pathology.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) when required.

Valid state licensure for a Speech and Language Therapist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.

Expertise in evidence-based approaches for individuals of all ages with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing challenges.

Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Capability to adapt therapeutic techniques to respect and meet diverse societal and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving aptitude.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and adept at maintaining documentation.
