Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day AP functions, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and expense reporting. This role will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely payments while maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Maintain and manage the accounts payable inbox
- Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues and inquiries
- Code invoices accurately in the accounting system
- Assist with expense report review and processing
- Support the month-end close process related to AP
- Track and maintain vendor records
- Help identify and improve AP processes as needed
- Assist with additional administrative or finance-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 1+ years of accounts payable or relevant accounting experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting or payment systems (Bill.com or similar is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Job Type & Location
This is a contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
