Noon Monitor (3593N) Human Resources Job Class: 3593N, Noon Monitor/Playground Aide Salary Range: $19.18 hourly Appointment Type: Temporary Location: Chinese Immersion Elementary School Calendar: Part Time / School Year Job Goal To enable students, through playground leadership, to enjoy the group interaction and physical exercise which are an integral part of the district educational program. Essential Duties Noon Monitors transport students from one destination to the next safely on school grounds Supervise students at playtime and maintains a harmonious atmosphere on the playground Organizes group games and activities Supervise lunch recesses in the cafeteria and in the school yard Assist students in wellness rooms Assist in restorative conversations and in response to students in crisis Walks around the yards as much as possible and takes precautionary steps to help children resolve conflicts using intervention strategies, such as benching Send students to the office for medical attention or in serious discipline situations; performs other job duties as requested by site administration Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Prior experience working with children/students under the supervision of classroom teachers, site managers or school principal What We Offer Competitive hourly salary of $19.18.
