Medical Director Of Ophthalmology
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to serve as Medical Director of Ophthalmology for a thriving, hospital-employed practice in beautiful Rutland, Vermont. This leadership opportunity combines a robust clinical practice with the ability to guide and grow ophthalmology services within a respected regional healthcare organization.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time, hospital-employed position
- Leadership opportunity as Medical Director of Ophthalmology
- Established and high-volume practice with strong regional referral base
- Collaborative team including ophthalmologists, optometrists, and Certified Ophthalmic Assistants
- State-of-the-art procedure center with dedicated operating room block time
- Updated surgical and diagnostic equipment

- Call schedule of 1:4 with minimal call burden
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
- Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program
- Fellowship training welcomed but not required
- Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
- Eligible for hospital medical staff privileges
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
