Senior QC Analytical Chemist - Group Leader

Eurofins PSS seeks a Senior QC Analytical Chemist Group Leader in Albany, NY to conduct GMP pharmaceutical testing and lead a team of 3-5 chemists. The role involves analytical testing of raw materials, APIs, and stability samples, alongside supervisory responsibilities for team development and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing and review of pharmaceutical samples following approved methods and GMP protocols
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3-5 chemists while balancing technical work
- Support method transfers, qualifications, and investigations of out-of-specification or invalid results
- Serve as primary contact for client and internal teams on laboratory testing matters
- Ensure quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations and team performance
Requirements
- BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 5+ years GMP/GLP testing experience; or MS with 3+ years industry experience
- 3+ years experience with Liquid Chromatography, Conductivity, and Titration
- Proficiency in at least two of: NMR, GC, ICP-OES, IR, RI, UV-Vis, or TGA
- Deep knowledge of GMP, ICH, and 21 CFR Part 210/211 regulations
- 1+ years of prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail capabilities
Compensation: $33.50-$41.00 per hour based on education, leadership experience, and industry background
