We are seeking an Associate HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, managers, and employees while supporting a broad range of strategic and operational HR initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who enjoys solving complex employee relations issues, driving process improvements, and making a meaningful impact across the organization. Responsibilities Partner with HR leadership to support strategic and day-to-day HR operations. Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee performance, development, and workplace concerns. Serve as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution. Support union-related activities, including consistent application of collective bargaining agreements. Assist with complex leave of absence and accommodation cases while ensuring compliance with California employment laws. Interpret and apply HR policies, procedures, and employment practices consistently across the organization. Lead HR projects and cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency and support organizational growth. Analyze HR metrics and trends to support informed business decisions. Partner with employees and managers to resolve sensitive workplace matters with professionalism and discretion. Support compliance efforts, audits, policy updates, and regulatory reporting. Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and assist with employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, attendance, and HR policies. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role. Strong experience handling complex employee relations matters, investigations, coaching, and conflict resolution. Thorough knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and California labor regulations. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills. Experience using HRIS systems.
