Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Description The Payroll & Benefits Specialist plays an important role in supporting the employees of Premier Charter School by ensuring accurate and timely payroll and helping staff navigate their benefits. This position manages day-to-day payroll and benefits processes, maintains accurate employee records, responds to staff questions, and helps ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy with confidential information, and committed to providing responsive and helpful service to our staff. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience preferred. Experience in human resources, payroll, benefits, business operations, project management, finance, or a related area preferred. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and detailed processes. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion. Strong communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to clearly explain information and respond to employee questions. Comfortable learning and working within HR, payroll, benefits, and other technology systems. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to research questions and learn new processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; experience with HRIS or payroll systems is a plus. Experience with Paylocity or school-based HR/payroll operations is a plus, but not required. Interest in supporting employees and contributing to the operations of a school community. #J-18808-Ljbffr
