Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both remotely and in client homes, to provide direct support and therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate anger management strategies, coping skills development, and social skills enhancement, targeting high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions or physical aggression.

• Assist families and caregivers in improving decision-making skills to effectively manage challenging behaviors within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team as well as professionals from other disciplines, ensuring a cohesive approach to family support.
\n
• Complete and submit all required documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within specified timeframes.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and recommend best practices.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services cater to a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing numerous challenges related to mental health and relationship dynamics. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing culturally sensitive and individualized treatment within a framework that prioritizes well-being and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• Must hold an active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of California.
\n
• Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4-7 PM is required.
\n
• Experience in providing positive behavior support, especially in therapeutic or family-based contexts, is essential.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for in-home sessions.
\n
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure client safety.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional expertise in various therapeutic modalities and prior experience in outpatient or community-based settings will be highly regarded. Proficiency in using documentation software and familiarity with evidence-based practices in family therapy are advantageous.
