Make a meaningful impact supporting students with diverse needs as a Paraprofessional in an educational setting near Joliet, IL. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August through May during the 26/27 school year and offers you the chance to work in a collaborative and supportive environment dedicated to student growth and inclusion.

You’ll work 32 hours each week, Monday through Friday, assisting students ranging in age from 3 to 21 with a variety of disabilities, including those on the Autism spectrum and students with behavioral needs. You'll have the opportunity to serve as both a classroom aide and an individual aide, making this a dynamic role for anyone committed to supporting educational success at all levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid PEL or Para Certification (required)
• Experience working with children and young adults with Autism and behavioral needs strongly preferred
• Previous work as a classroom or individual aide a plus
• Ability to adapt to a range of student ages and needs
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patience

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support in classroom and one-on-one settings
• Assist students with academic, social, and behavioral goals as outlined by educators and support staff
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to tailor interventions and support plans

This contract role offers an hourly rate up to $22, providing a rewarding way to contribute your skills in a supportive school community throughout the academic year. Additional details will be shared during the interview process.
