Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients exhibiting mood disorders to ascertain the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.

• Collaborating with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and needs.

• Employing various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies for better management.

• Monitoring client progress through regular check-ins, documentation, and data tracking, making adjustments to therapy approaches as necessary.

• Working in conjunction with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive treatment strategy for clients.

• Remaining informed about the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to refine therapeutic approaches.

• Upholding legal and ethical standards by maintaining robust client records and confidentiality.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and supervisory sessions to enhance your clinical skills and support client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals facing mood disorders, including conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clinic serves a diverse range of clients, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will directly influence their recovery journey, fostering resilience and coping strategies that empower them to navigate life's challenges.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
