Physical Therapist In The Burn Unit

Required skills:

• Valid physical therapist license in the state
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to float across inpatient units as needed
• Strong understanding of burn care, including patients with 0-100% TBSA burns
• Excellent assessment and therapeutic skills for mobility, positioning, and pain management
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and documentation skills

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with outpatient therapy evaluations and treatments
• Knowledge of surgical dressings, scar management, and contracture prevention
• Bilingual abilities to assist diverse patient populations
• Additional certifications in burn or trauma therapy

Preferred education and experience:

• Bachelor's or doctor of physical therapy (DPT) degree
• At least 1 year of acute care or burn unit experience
• EPIC EMR system familiarity

Other requirements:

• Availability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) in the burn unit
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including pick-up shifts between Monday-Friday
• Comfortable working with patients with varying degrees of injury severity
• Willingness to provide guided outpatient therapy when time permits
• Certification in relevant specialties (preferred but not mandatory)

This incredible opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $56.95, with a shift schedule of four 10-hour days (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM), along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick time, and travel or licensure reimbursements where applicable.
