Position Overview

Cape Cod Orthopedics, P.C. is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Outpatient Physical Therapist (OPT) to join our team in Browns Mills, New Jersey. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide personalized rehabilitation services to patients in a home care setting. Work Environment

This role is based in a home care environment in Browns Mills, New Jersey, where you will work directly with clients in their homes. Our supportive and collaborative team values the contributions of each physical therapist and emphasizes a patient-centered approach. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, allowing for a well-structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and improving functional capabilities of clients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical health using diagnostic tests and assess their home environments to make informed recommendations for rehabilitation.
• Deliver physical therapy services including manual therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and administration of treatments involving physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Oversee and provide guidance to physical therapy assistants to ensure proper execution of treatment regimens in accordance with established plans of care.
• Document clinical findings, progress, and changes in clients' conditions in compliance with OASIS and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in planning, evaluating, and adjusting treatment protocols during case conferences.
• Educate clients and their families on care techniques, usage of physical therapy equipment, and overall wellness strategies.
• Fulfill administrative tasks by submitting timely documentation related to therapy orders and clinical records, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Engage in regular assessments to adapt treatment plans as necessary and support clients' independence with the use of modern rehabilitation techniques.
• Perform other assigned office-related and clinical duties to support the operational objectives of the company.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will cater to a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults to the elderly, many of whom are experiencing various conditions that affect their mobility and overall physical wellbeing. Your role is critical to restoring their function, improving their quality of life, and fostering independence within the safety and comfort of their own homes.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Hold a clean professional record, with no sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exhibit mastery in various manual therapy methods and demonstrate expertise in creating successful exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for precise documentation and management of patient care.
• A strong foundation in contemporary physical therapy practices supported by current research.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a home care setting and familiarity with OASIS documentation.
• Background in managing interdisciplinary team dynamics and working collaboratively in a therapeutic environment.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or educational roles related to physical therapy.

The annual compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
