The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Browns Mills. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients using standardized diagnostic tests to determine their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans that address specific patient needs, focusing on pain relief, functional mobility, and strength enhancement.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring the delivery of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities, including manual therapy techniques, traction, and the application of physical agents to optimize recovery.
• Evaluate patients' home environments to recommend modifications or assistive devices that contribute to their independence.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in case conferences to develop comprehensive treatment strategies that consider the collective insights of various healthcare disciplines.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment objectives, proper use of therapeutic equipment, and techniques to enhance recovery outside of therapy sessions.
• Monitor and report on patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies in consultation with physicians and Case Managers.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of physical therapy best practices and innovations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will involve working with a variety of patient demographics, including post-operative orthopedic patients, individuals recovering from sports-related injuries, and those managing chronic pain conditions. You will play a crucial role in creating individualized rehabilitation plans that take into account each patient's unique circumstances, lifestyle, and therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, with a clean record free from sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of therapeutic exercise principles.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Web PT, to maintain accurate patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation facility or outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing patient-centered exercise programs that yield measurable improvements in physical function.
• Experience participating in interdisciplinary team settings, contributing to cohesive and comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
