Power BI Developer

*Description*
TEKsystems is seeking a Power BI Developer to help a client support the implementation and expansion of new Microsoft Fabric Data Warehouse environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI reporting solutions that enable business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions across the organization.

*This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong collaboration with Data Engineering, IT, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.*
Key responsibilities include:
-Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models within a Microsoft Fabric environment
-Develop scalable and reusable datasets and reporting standards
-Partner with Data Engineering teams to consume and validate data from Fabric Data Warehouse and Lakehouse environments
-Optimize report performance, refresh schedules, and data models
-Create DAX calculations, measures, KPIs, and Power Query transformations
-Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions
-Support UAT and production deployments
-Troubleshoot data quality, refresh, and performance issues
-Assist with governance, security, and best practices
-Document reporting solutions and development standards

This is a Contract position based out of Geneva, IL.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
