About the Role
The Company is in search of an Associate Vice President of Philanthropy to take on a pivotal role in leading the Development department. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing global donor relations, including all aspects of one-to-one donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. This is a senior position with a primary responsibility of generating a significant portion of the organization's annual fundraising revenue. The role demands a strategic, driven leader who can drive a relationship-centered, portfolio-based fundraising strategy, with a focus on major gifts, mid-level growth, planned giving, and long-term donor value. The AVP will also be responsible for coaching a team of Philanthropy Officers and must have the ability to manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors, securing five- to seven-figure gifts. Applicants for the Associate Vice President of Philanthropy role at the company should be exceptional frontline fundraisers with deep expertise in donor strategy. The position requires experience in guiding complex solicitations, advising senior leadership and Board members, and strengthening fundraising capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful, authentic manager who is passionate about the mission and values of the organization. A background in philanthropy, particularly in a high-impact, mission-aligned setting, is essential. The role is suited to a strategic leader who is ready to make a direct impact on the scale of the organization, including its upcoming capital campaign and 501(c)(4) initiatives.
