Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patient populations including adults and geriatrics
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Perform specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Maintain a strong focus on patient experience and quality outcomes throughout the care continuum
• Float to other units as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to float to other units and campuses per facility need
• Must complete required pre-assignment testing and online modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience caring for stroke and TIA patient populations in an inpatient setting
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Previous travel nursing experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry environment
