Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures including dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D)
• Care for post-heart catheterization patients and monitor for complications
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Float to similar units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, subject to change based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible at full consideration; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered with adjusted terms; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-procedural cardiac patient care
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
• First-time travelers with strong, relevant clinical experience will be considered
