Job Title: Accounting Clerk Location: Janesville, WI Employment Type: Contract (4 months) Industry: Distribution Compensation: $18.00 /hr. Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. About the Opportunity:

• Review customer accounts and transaction histories to accurately apply payments and process credits or debits.
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies while responding to customer payment and account-related inquiries by phone and in writing.
• Support the Finance team with data entry, journal entries, and month-end account reconciliations.
• Partner with internal teams to improve cash application processes, communicate payment requirements, and ensure funds are applied correctly.
• Escalate recurring issues to management, recommend solutions, and perform additional accounts receivable duties as needed.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable.

What Sets You Apart:

• Microsoft Excel Experience.
• Demonstrated ability for speed, task accuracy, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated good organizational skills.
• Proven ability to plan, set priorities, and follow up on tasks.
• Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written, and customer service skills).
• Ability to work effectively on teams and build professional relationships.
