Base pay range $20.00/hr - $28.00/hr Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Employment Type: Full-time Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time, and supporting the accounting team with reconciliations and reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining vendor relationships and supporting the financial operations of the business. Key Responsibilities Review, code, and process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment requests. Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to verify accuracy. Prepare and process payments via check, ACH, and wire transfer on a regular schedule. Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain accurate vendor files and ensure proper documentation is stored and organized. Assist with month-end and year-end close by preparing accruals and reconciliations. Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits. Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding accounts payable activity. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted. Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
