Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
• Certification as a CLS (NCA), MT (ASCP), or an equivalent clinical laboratory science credential
• Valid CLIA 88 high complexity testing certification
• Minimum of one year of general laboratory experience preferred
• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and interpreting complex tests
• Excellent communication skills in English for written and verbal correspondence

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a microbiology or infectious disease laboratory
• Ability to adapt to floating between different lab locations
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Prior experience with specimen analysis and quality control procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, or related field
• At least one year of relevant clinical laboratory experience in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with CLIA regulations and high-complexity testing protocols

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel and be flexible with schedule adjustments
• Weekend shift availability (Saturdays required)
• Routine exposure to bloodborne pathogens and hazardous materials; adherence to safety protocols is essential
• Ability to work beyond standard hours if necessary, including standing, sitting, and moving lab supplies up to 50 pounds
