License/Certs: Active NP license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery/ICU management

What You'll Do

• Provide advanced clinical care to cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first approaches
• Assist in cardiac surgeries, including performing endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting as needed
• Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, conducting rounds and evaluations in CVICU, floor, and clinic settings
• Participate in two full-day clinics weekly, seeing additional patients on other days as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Develop, implement, and follow-up on personalized care plans
• Prescribe medications in accordance with regulatory policies
• Perform bedside procedures relevant to cardiovascular care
• Document all care accurately and timely, demonstrating expert clinical judgment

What You Need

Required:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado
• At least 2 years of experience managing ICU or cardiothoracic surgical patients
• Proficiency in postoperative patient management and procedures

Preferred:

• Experience assisting in cardiac surgeries
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability skills
