Job Title

Repair, Grind, Shim, and Sharpen Dies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair, grind, shim, and sharpen a variety of single station and progressive stamping dies for steel and aluminum.
• Assist with manufacturing spare detail sections for critical stamping dies.
• Assist with manufacturing spare parts for a variety of other metal forming equipment (ex: Riveters).
• Remove and set up larger progressive stamping dies in 300400-ton presses.
• Assist with training Die Setters on proper set up of smaller stamping dies.
• Assist with manufacturing and assembly of machined parts for custom in house-built equipment to support manufacturing processes.
• Support plant manufacturing operations as needed.
• Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant experience in a metal stamping facility.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 50 lbs., stand and walk for prolonged periods of time on the manufacturing floor.

Work Conditions:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to manufacturing equipment and machinery, forklifts, and pallets.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• The employee is regularly exposed to hot and cold weather conditions.
• Personal protective equipment is required in all areas of the production plant.
