Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | 36 or 48-Hour Weeks Available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving a general mix of medical patients alongside RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• Work within an Observation/ER Overflow unit (10 beds), focusing on constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 (or up to 1:7 when working as part of an RN/LPN team)
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed, approximately once per week based on unit need
• Work every other weekend as required by unit scheduling
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Willingness to float to other Med Surg units and work with a variety of clinical staff
• Supervisor-level references required upon submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an Observation or ER Overflow setting with high patient turnover
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment requiring rapid admission and discharge processes
