Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Bakersfield, California, a hub for excellent healthcare services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical therapy requirements and establish a baseline for treatment.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals based on evaluations and ongoing assessments.
• Employ various evidence-based techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to reduce pain and enhance functional mobility.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises, self-management strategies, and injury prevention techniques to promote long-term health.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to adapt to evolving needs.
• Engage in regular collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to provide continuous and coherent patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. Each interaction is designed to empower patients and help them reclaim their independence through effective rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• A currently active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates possessing advanced degrees such as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting, demonstrating the ability to handle a diverse caseload.

Compensation and Benefits
