Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult Med Surg/Telemetry patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation
• Monitor cardiac status, interpret telemetry strips, respond to arrhythmias, and administer cardiac medications as ordered
• Manage IV access, administer IV therapies, and perform wound care as needed
• Document in the electronic health record and communicate with the multidisciplinary team; ensure patient safety and comfort
• Maintain a 1:5 nurse-patient ratio and float to MS units as required
• Respond to patient care needs, call lights, and participate in shift handoffs and patient transitions

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification required before start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed; travel experience preferred
• Flu vaccine or declination accepted
