Requirements:

• NY license required in hand for submission; pending licenses not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Mandatory competencies: phlebotomy and peripheral IV insertion

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care and monitoring in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Perform EKG/telemetry monitoring and blood glucose testing.
• Manage enteral/feeding tube and NG/G-tube care, as well as Foley insertion and catheter care.
• Conduct wound care and basic dressing changes, including care for JP/Hemovac drains.
• Administer oxygen and monitor vital signs.
• Perform IM/SQ medication administration and implement isolation precautions.
• Communicate patient status changes effectively using SBAR technique during reports.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 12 hours
• Return-to-Staff policy: 1 year
• Minimal RTO preferred; cannot submit candidates with >10 days RTO
