Licensed Practical Nurse - Med Surg, Rochester, New York, US
Travel assignment starting 06/29/2026 for multiple weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,211 to $1,289 per week and no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12-hour days in a hospital setting, supporting a med/surg telemetry overflow unit that serves ED boarders. Unit features a 14-bed flex space inside GI Endoscopy, with census fluctuating based on ED demand.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care and monitor telemetry for med/surg patients; respond promptly to status changes.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in EPIC; communicate significant changes using SBAR.
- Support basic nursing tasks including ADLs, mobility assistance, and hygiene; aid in feeding as needed.
- Assist with telemetry-related care and procedures within scope; maintain equipment and monitor alarm alerts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV team, PT, RT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Transport, Unit Secretary, Rapid Response, Interpretation Services) to coordinate patient care.
- Adhere to isolation precautions and ensure patient safety and comfort during shifts and handoffs.

Requirements
- Active New York nursing license in hand (no pending licenses) to submit
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification
- Med/surg telemetry experience; ED overflow experience preferred
- Ability to float to med/surg patients as needed; willing to work nights and weekends as scheduled
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, overflow unit with variable census
