Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation facility, you will work in a vibrant and professional setting that promotes teamwork and communication. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for up to 7 patients each shift, evaluating their physical conditions and establishing tailored therapy plans to meet their unique recovery goals.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and evidence-backed therapeutic interventions to promote recovery, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and modalities.
• Actively monitor and document patient progress, ensuring that treatment regimens are adjusted based on patient responses and outcomes.
• Engage in effective communication with patients and their families, providing them with guidance and answers to inquiries regarding treatment expectations and progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to develop a comprehensive care approach for each patient.
• Maintain all required documentation and reports in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This population may include elderly patients dealing with mobility limitations, post-operative patients requiring rehabilitation, as well as individuals recovering from strokes or other neurological conditions.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New York State Physical Therapist License.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; preferred candidates may hold a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Proven experience of at least two years in a similar clinical setting, demonstrating strong clinical skills and knowledge of therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a diverse patient population in a rehabilitation environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for recording and managing patient data.
• Certification in specialized therapeutic methods (e.g., manual therapy, dry needling) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
