Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Highland Park, Illinois

This contract position is designed to cover a leave of absence from August 10 through September 22, providing an engaging way to make a meaningful impact in a school setting. Daily responsibilities will blend assessment, therapy, and collaboration for high schoolers in a supportive setting. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Skilled in individualized assessment, documentation, and IEP development Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Illinois SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain before start date) Strong organization and time management skills for managing high school student caseloads Key Responsibilities: Provide speech and language therapy services to high school students for a range of needs Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to IEP meetings Maintain accurate and timely documentation Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding student progress and communication strategies Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere for student success This is a fantastic chance to advance your SLP skills in a vibrant educational environment, working hands-on with high schoolers as they prepare for new academic and life challenges.
