• Maintain accurate documentation and billing for patient care activities, clearly outlining the patient's treatment journey under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in line with state regulations. Ensure ongoing communication with the supervising physical therapist is documented.
• Exhibit strong time management skills and meet productivity goals. Maintain an accurate schedule while demonstrating a professional commitment to providing seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, and empathetic behaviors in a patient-centered environment. Coordinate schedules for re-evaluations and discharge summaries to be conducted by a physical therapist.
• Engage in effective discharge planning, follow-up care, and assessment of equipment needs in collaboration with the supervising physical therapist. Show initiative by contributing innovative ideas for patient treatment and involving patients and their families in treatment and discharge planning through education and training. Administer patient treatment services, including reviewing relevant historical information, safely applying modalities, and delivering interventions within the treatment plan's scope under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Collaborate with other team members for an interdisciplinary approach when appropriate.
• Identify and document changes in the patient's condition and assist in modifying the treatment plan in collaboration with, and under the supervision of, a licensed physical therapist. Provide verbal and written updates as necessary for patient progress meetings.
• Take the initiative in pursuing continuing education for personal and organizational professional development. Serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students when applicable.

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
• Licensure in Maryland, the District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia as required for your specific location.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $25.86 - USD $46.12 per hour.
