Position Overview

Resurge Rehab & Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Vienna, Virginia. This full-time position primarily operates onsite and offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents to assess their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring strength, mobility, and functionality in patients.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and assistive devices to help residents achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and holistic treatment approaches.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about treatment protocols, safe mobility practices, and home exercise routines.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions, ensuring adherence to all relevant state and federal regulations.
• Participate in discharge planning by evaluating functional outcomes and recommending appropriate post-rehabilitation support services or equipment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on geriatric patients who require rehabilitation following surgery, injury, and chronic illness management. Working closely with short-term and long-term residents, you will play a pivotal role in their recovery journeys, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Active CPR certification or the willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and patience.
