Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions, identifying functional limitations and establishing treatment goals.
• Develop individual treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities, while consistently evaluating and adjusting plans based on patient progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including initial assessments, treatment notes, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists, to coordinate care and enhance the patient experience.
• Provide education to patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote health and wellness, as well as the services provided by the rehabilitation center.
• Engage in regular self-assessment and professional development through attending workshops, seminars, and in-service training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, post-traumatic conditions, or chronic pain. This diverse client base requires a tailored approach to treatment that considers individual capabilities and rehabilitation goals, ensuring that care is both effective and compassionate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a physical therapist in Virginia.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evaluating and treating orthopedic conditions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting, particularly with orthopedic patients.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging between USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
