Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients referred by physicians, utilizing clinically relevant evaluation techniques to determine individual needs and treatment plans.
• Design and implement tailored therapeutic exercise programs, ensuring they align with evidence-based guidelines and the physician's plan of care.
• Provide hands-on therapy sessions that may include manual therapy, modality treatments, and functional training to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and response to therapy.
• Foster a compassionate environment by demonstrating outstanding customer service, ensuring all patients feel supported and empowered to engage in their rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and developments in patient care to improve overall service delivery.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies to continue their recovery independently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• Strong computer skills, with experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, showcasing a track record of effective treatment plans and patient relationships.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits
