Fiber Optics Technician Fiber Installation & Splicing - Hampton GA
Join Next Level Technician as a Fiber Optics Technician in Hampton GA! Earn $24$30/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling (single mode and multi-mode)
- Perform fiber splicing (fusion) and OTDR testing
- Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic links and networks
- Read and interpret fiber optic system blueprints, layouts, and splice diagrams
- Install fiber patch panels, enclosures, and related infrastructure
- Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
- Support additional low voltage systems as needed
- Perform fiber work in a large-scale data center environment
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial fiber optic installation/splicing experience
- Experience with OTDR or OLTS (Fluke Versiv), power meter, and fiber test equipment
- Working knowledge of telecom and data networks
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
- Manufacturer or FOA (Fiber Optic Association) certifications a plus
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Willingness to travel to job sites within Georgia as needed
