Certified Medical Assistant Scribe/ Triager- Experience Required Essex County NJResponsibilities:Greet patients in person or via telephone; answer basic questionsMeasure and record the patient's vital signsReport and update patient's medical history, reason for visit, and description of treatmentHandle administrative responsibilities such as faxes, appointments, and chart reviewsCommunicate with pharmacy technicians to maintain the accuracy of medication reconciliationsAdminister vaccines and/or other injectablesEducate patients regarding in-office services to which they are entitledRestock examination roomsPerform other related duties as assigned such as TRIAGE, SCRIBE & Ancillary workRequirements:Fluency in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or CreoleAbility and willingness to work at least one Saturday each monthProficiency in basic medical terminologyExperience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations as they affect patientsKnowledge and application of infection control protocolsPersonable, works well with others, possesses good communication skills, professional demeanor, and remains composed in high-pressure situationsExcellent time management skills, detail-oriented, and values the importance of precision and accuracyStrong organizational and writing skills, including the ability to write clear notes and brief reportsQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentCertification from one of the following professional organizations:National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)National Health Career Association (NHA)American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)DRIVERS LICENSE AND CAR A MUSTMinimum 2 years Medical Assistant Experience RequiredJob Type: Full-timePay: From $21 per hourExpected hours: 37.5 - 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceMedical Specialty:Primary CareSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekends as neededWork Location: In person
