Director of Nursing

Director of Nursing – Emergency Medicine Montefiore is seeking a Director of Nursing – Emergency Medicine to provide strategic and operational leadership for one of the region's busiest, most complex Emergency Departments. In this executive role, you'll partner with physician and nursing leaders to advance clinical excellence, optimize operations, improve patient flow, and develop high-performing teams—all while delivering exceptional patient care. What You'll Do Lead clinical and operational performance across Emergency Services. Drive quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Champion workforce engagement, recruitment, retention, and leadership development. Collaborate with executive and physician leaders to improve patient throughput and capacity management. Lead strategic initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and elevate the care experience. What You'll Bring Master's degree in Nursing (BSN required) Current New York State RN license 8+ years of progressive nursing experience, preferably in Emergency or Critical Care 5–7 years of nursing leadership experience A proven track record of leading teams, driving change, and improving clinical and operational outcomes Why Montefiore?
