Inventory AccountantLocation: Stamford, CT (100% in-office) Compensation: $85KPosition SummaryA growing consumer products company is seeking an Inventory Accountant to support inventory and accounting operations across multiple locations. This position will report to the Controller and play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform 3-way matching of purchase orders, inventory receipts, and invoicesReconcile inventory balances across multiple locations and research discrepanciesPrepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close activitiesMaintain general ledger accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliationsSupport ad hoc reporting and analysis related to inventory and accountingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience preferredStrong Excel skills requiredExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to work independently
