Litigation Associate

Billable Hours Requirement: 1,950 hours/year About the Role We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our growing practices in Dallas and Houston . This role operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) , offering a balance of collaborative in-office work and dynamic remote flexibility. You will manage a diverse caseload from initial assignment through resolution, working alongside top-tier defense litigators while handling high-stakes matters for regional and national carriers. Key Practice Areas Insurance Defense Personal Injury & General Liability Trucking & Transportation Defense Construction Litigation Key Responsibilities Manage defense files independently from case inception through trial, mediation, or settlement. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Conduct and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses. Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials across Texas jurisdictions. Perform thorough legal analysis, risk assessments, and prepare detailed status reports for insurance carriers and clients. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Texas (in good standing with the State Bar of Texas). 2+ years of civil litigation experience in Insurance Defense, General Liability, Premises Liability, Transportation/Trucking, Personal Injury, or Construction Litigation. Demonstrated ability to comfortably meet a 1,950 billable hour requirement . Excellent written and oral advocacy, research, and negotiation skills. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $220,000 . Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
