Vice President of Sales

As VP of Sales, you will own company revenue growth and lead the sales organization. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a close strategic partner on revenue while staying hands‑on in deals, team execution, and day‑to‑day sales leadership. This role is for someone who can pair ambition with discipline: driving pipeline and close rates, improving ARR quality and multi‑year commitments, and building momentum for faster growth. You should have experience leading a sales team through early‑stage growth, such as Seed through Series B or a similar phase. You should be excited by startup environments, comfortable moving quickly to find opportunity, and energized by working across functions to shape the company’s broader go‑to‑market motion. Key Responsibilities Revenue Ownership & GTM Execution Own company revenue across new business and sustained expansion. Develop and execute sales strategies that grow pipeline and improve win rates. Stay close to meaningful deals by coaching in real time and leveling up the team. Identify new segments and repeatable plays to expand the pie. Build a disciplined cadence: pipeline reviews, forecasting, and accountability. Drive efficient sales operations with ROI‑focused investment decisions. Use data to improve revenue quality, including contract value, multi‑year mix, deal pacing, conversion health, and predictability. Work closely with operations to strengthen systems, process, and scalability. Hire, coach, and retain strong sales talent while setting a high bar for performance. Lead by example, asking of the team only what you would do yourself as well. Create practical playbooks, training, and feedback loops that improve execution and help the team operate with consistency and urgency. Bring execution structure to the team and ensure deals move forward with rigor. Cross‑Functional Partnership & Market Presence Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team as a trusted voice on revenue strategy, priority accounts, partnerships, and market feedback. Work cross‑functionally with support, product, operations, and finance to ensure customer needs, implementation realities, and business priorities are aligned. Represent Molten Cloud externally with credibility and sound judgment at film markets, industry events, customer meetings, and partner conversations. Travel as needed to support key deals and deepen customer relationships. Stay open to experimenting with AI tools that improve sales motion. Who You Are Revenue‑Oriented Operator Proven track record in B2B SaaS sales, including owning startup revenue growth. Strong commercial judgment and a sharp eye for both growth and revenue quality. Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with direct deal involvement and day‑to‑day execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust with prospects, customers, teammates, and executives. Proven ability to work closely with a CEO and influence cross‑functional teams. Analytical & Systems‑Minded Strong in sales operations and value‑based selling, using data to articulate ROI, improve performance, and prioritize high‑impact opportunities. Comfortable partnering on CRM, tooling, process design, and reporting to build a scalable, accountable sales engine. Entrepreneurial and AI‑Curious Thrive in an early‑stage environment, move quickly, and be a growth‑hacker. Curious about emerging AI tools and practical about where they can help. Grounded Leader & Industry Ambassador Grounded, trustworthy, and credible with customers and partners. Willing and excited to travel, build relationships in person, and represent Molten Cloud well in the media and entertainment ecosystem. Hold high standards for yourself and the team, with the maturity to coach, challenge, and manage performance well. Qualifications 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including sales leadership responsibility. Experience turning a founder‑led sales motion into a systems‑led sales motion. Experience selling to enterprise customers in complex, consultative sales cycles. Experience helping scale a sales team through early‑stage growth, such as Seed through Series B or a similar environment. Track record of hitting or exceeding quota while improving team execution. Strong analytical and operational skills, including experience sales tooling. Media and entertainment experience or connection is preferred. Ability and willingness to travel for customers, events, and industry markets. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, related field, or practical experience.
