Conduct thorough assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized evaluation tools and observations.
Create tailored treatment plans designed to meet immediate objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and families to devise comprehensive care strategies.
Educate patients and their families to foster progress even outside the clinical environment.
Assist with periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
Maintain meticulous and prompt documentation adhering to organizational, state, and federal regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional education and foster peer connections to stay ahead in the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for varying age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
Strong interpersonal skills allowing effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
A capacity to adjust therapeutic methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Robust clinical judgment coupled with adept problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices.
