This position includes a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus for a twenty-four-month full-time commitment.

\n

Schedule: this is a rare opportunity to join a team of highly experienced Physical Therapists who have tremendous autonomy with their practice and schedules and make decisions collaboratively. It will mostly work Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday, but no nights and no call! This is primarily an ortho role with a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases.

How you'll contribute

A Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

\n

\n
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
\n
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
\n
• Plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
\n
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
\n
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
\n
• Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
\n
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
\n
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.

What we're looking for

\n

Applicants should have a current NM Physical Therapist license and possess a bachelor's degree in physical therapy or related field with a master's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
\n
