Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in step down or progressive care unit License: Active state RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac experience required - Experience with CABG and valve post-operative care - EPIC experience required - 1:5 patient ratio experience in previous roles Description: Winter jobs available for 13- or 18-week contracts. Must be able to work a minimum of every other holiday. Candidates must have experience managing patients after CABG and valve surgeries. Experience in step down or progressive care unit is essential, as ICU experience does not count. Targeted patient ratios are 1:4-6. Candidates must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting. Additional competencies include BLS, ACLS, IV start, NIH, and cardiac drip titration skills. Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on specific units. Travel experience is preferred. Travelers may be the first to float to other units as required. Candidates should be prepared to float to any assignment as designated. Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. This role involves care for various cardiac conditions and advanced care patients with telemetry. Navy blue scrubs are required. Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract. No schedule requests or RTO will be negotiated after an offer is made. Floating to other units based on skill sets is required. Candidates must be comfortable with float assignments without restrictions.
