Outside Sales Account Manager for Hospitality Accounts As an Outside Sales Account Manager for the Hospitality division, you will be responsible for an established portfolio of accounts to maintain and drive Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sales. The position involves consistent travel within the territory to see customers. The territory covers Northern California including Montara, Santa Cruz, Carmel, and Salinas. This role offers a competitive base salary plus a monthly sales incentive plan. A laptop, cell phone, and monthly expenses are included. Preferred Qualifications Direct sales to Hospitality customers. 3 or more years of business‑to‑business (B2B) sales experience. Passion for customer service. Organizational skills and tech‑savvy. CRM experience – Salesforce or other. Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and HVAC product lines. Experience with consultative selling/solution selling. Ability to develop call plans and proactively develop new business. Ability to learn new techniques and be open to new ideas. Must reside within the territory. Bilingual is a plus. Job Summary Drive profitable sales growth by prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and expanding opportunities with current customers in core and emerging industries and markets to meet yearly sales goals. This position requires operation of a personal vehicle, with such operation done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report, and an acceptable MVR report is a requirement. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers across all levels of an organization, ensuring long‑term sustainability. Manage sales volume with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new customers to expand and diversify the customer base. Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in the assigned area. Share market insights and competitor information with relevant channels throughout the organization, fostering strong relationships and collaborative partnerships. Collaborate with leadership to analyze market trends and customer needs, providing valuable input for the development of effective sales strategies and initiatives. Attend monthly business meetings for all company‑sponsored associations, engage in local trade shows, and represent the organization in regional or national activities as necessary. Nature and Scope Demonstrate skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. Work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process. May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel. Work Environment Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors. Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking; occasionally there is a requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8–20 pounds). Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Education And Experience Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2–5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2–4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas. Job available in the following states CA, CO, CT, D.C., HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OH, RI, VT, WA. Pay Range $64,200.00 – $93,200.00 Annual.
