Pharmacist - Travel Job

We're hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position where you’ll use your clinical expertise to ensure the safe and thoughtful distribution of medications to individuals navigating a range of physical and mental health challenges. Minimum Requirements:

• Current Florida Pharmacist License required.
• Sterile compounding experience required.
• Experience with DoseEdge, Pharmacy Stars, or VigiLanz preferred.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred.
• Familiarity with renal dosing, IV-to-PO conversion, electrolyte management, vancomycin/aminoglycoside dosing, and TPN (Clinimix) dosing preferred.
• Ability to perform antimicrobial de-escalation, medication counseling on request, and medication verification.
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with medical and nursing staff.
• Experience overseeing pharmacy technicians preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel pharmacy experience preferred.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced hospital pharmacy preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 07:00-19:00.
• Pharmacy hours at facility: Monday–Friday 7:00 am–10:00 pm; Saturday–Sunday & holidays 8:00 am–6:30 pm.
• Unit: Hospital Pharmacy. First floor, main hospital building.
• Typical responsibilities include sterile compounding, medication verification, dosing support (renal, TPN, antimicrobials), and medication counseling as requested.
• Closing pharmacist takes call as part of call requirements.
