Job Description

The Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician will play a critical role in supporting a dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. This position is responsible for assisting in various cardiac procedures, including CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) and valve replacements/repairs. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Scrub independently for open heart cases.
• Assist with vein harvesting using endoscopic and open techniques.
• Support other service lines, including vascular and general surgery, based on case volume and needs.
• Familiarity with common cardiac instrumentation and sterile setup.
• Adapt to floating as required to different surgical specialties.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have comprehensive experience in cardiovascular surgical procedures and a well-rounded background in related service lines, including vascular and general surgery.
• Experience with standard CVOR equipment, including heart-lung (bypass) machines and cell savers.
• Strong adaptability to various surgical environments and instrumentation.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
