Location: 2671 Main St, Santa Monica, CA 90405
Schedule: Hospital Hours - Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Salary: $29-$31/hour; compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
VCA Santa Monica Main Street Animal Hospital is a general practice hospital focused on "World-class medicine, with Hometown care" by ensuring that our love of animals translates into compassionate care and respect for our patients. We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician who is a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient carewith the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.
Essential job expectations, including, but not limited to:
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience
- Hold a current California RVT license
- Must have surgery and dentistry experience
- Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Customer service skills, including phone skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
