Part-Time Music School Admin - Gaithersburg, MD

About the Position Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional part‑time Administrative Assistant to help manage the operations of our Gaithersburg, MD location at Kentlands School of Music . We are looking for a staff member who will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day‑to‑day operations. The desired time commitment is 20–25 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability, with priority given to those who are available on Saturdays. Primary responsibilities include Greeting families and students arriving for lessons Responding to new lesson inquiries by phone and email Processing enrollments, sales and related tasks Ability to multitask effectively in a busy front‑desk environment Interfacing with teachers to help them manage their student schedules Demonstrating basic computer proficiency to support scheduling, communication, and general administrative tasks Successful candidates will be organized, adaptable, and proactive self‑starters with excellent communication skills and the ability to pass a routine background check. A demonstrated interest in music, education, and customer service will be considered a strong asset. Pay for this position will start at $15.50/hour, with regular reviews and opportunities for compensation growth.
