Teacher — Requirements & Responsibilities

Kawai Kids Learning Center

Requirements

• 12+ ECE units.
• 3+ Infant/Toddler units
• Minimum 6 months–1 year experience working with preschool-age children.
• Ability to follow Title 22 regulations and Kawai Kids policies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift 25–30 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and actively supervise children.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable, professional, and responsible work habits.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, warm, and organized classroom environment.
• Implement weekly curriculum, activities, lessons, and learning centers.
• Maintain active supervision and follow all safety/Title 22 guidelines.
• Support children’s social-emotional development using positive guidance.
• Complete Brightwheel updates and communicate with parents professionally.
• Maintain attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers and support staff.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and school events as needed.
• Represent Kawai Kids with professionalism, reliability, and kindness.
